The Gember Distillery in Muizenberg is a beautiful space envisioned and created by the Two Gingers themselves. The cosy tasting area upstairs creates the ideal backdrop in which to envelop oneself in the tasting experience, with warm wood, subtle lighting and charming accents of our African heritage. Downstairs you’ll find gleaming stainless steel tanks along the walls, awaiting their precious cargo, and stores of the best-quality botanicals imported from around the world, used to craft our deliciously original gins.

However, one fine Saturday afternoon in April our handsome distillery turned into quite the place to be! The occasion was an exclusive gin launch party and tasting event with our founders sharing the source and history of Two Gingers, followed by some very serious contemplations of our gins.

The reason for a lot of the spirited discussions amongst our guests was the introduction of two new gin flavours, named temporarily ‘The Wynand’ and ‘The Ross’, one of which will soon be available from our online store (name to be revealed soon). So keep an eye out on our blog and social media for details of when our third gin launches, and you can join in the conversation and let us know what you think.

Of course we must also give thanks to the terrific Daniel Wesley, who provided the perfect background sounds to all this spirited tasting with his melodious renditions of popular music, as well as some of his own musical creations.
