If you’ve never been to The Thirsty Scarecrow, you should add it to your ‘places to visit’. Surrounded by mountains, vineyards, strawberry farms and forests, the venue provides a glorious view from its higher vantage point.

It is in this charming setting that The Two Gingers team, Simon and Wynand, hosted a jam-packed gin tasting at the end of April.

Almost 200 gin tasters tried two of our new craft gins, known for the occasion as ‘The Ross’ and ‘The Wynand’, and were encouraged to name them based on the flavours and feelings evoked by the botanicals included in the distillation process.

It’s fair to say that the event was a roaring success, with happy smiles all around. The Gingers were very popular hosts, spending time at each table, sharing their passion and history with this refreshing drink.
